The story so far……………………..

In February 2008 Mitavite launched their range of Vitamite Performance Supplements and complete rice based feeds at BETA, the showpiece of the Equestrian Trade in the UK.

Although this represented the official introduction of the Vitamite product range in the UK, it was in reality the culmination of a chain of events that started almost 2 years earlier in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where Mitavite were the Official Feed Supplier at the World Cup Showjumping Final.

At this spectacular event, International Show Jumpers were introduced for the first time to Mitavite’s range of complete high energy, rice based feeds. Amongst them was Michael Whitaker and his ride the super mare Suncal Portofino, who adapted quickly to the change in her diet and performed superbly over the 4 days of competition. This in turn lead to a meeting with Mitavite’s Export consultant in Asia and Europe, Rod Shepherd, with a handshake confirming Mitavite’s commitment to send it’s new feed to Michael in the UK.

So early in 2007 Mitavite’s flagship rice-based feed Vitamite Cool Performer was sent to Michael Whitaker’s stables as well as Eventing Stars Clayton and Lucinda Fredericks and Marlborough based Kiwi event riders Tim Price and Jonelle Richards.

During the 2007 European season these riders used Cool Performer exclusively on their horses and achieved some staggering results.
At BETA 2008 Vitamite Cool Performer was presented with an Innovation Award in the Feed and Supplements Division. This is a highly sort after prize that clearly signals the start of a very exciting time for Mitavite products in the UK and Europe.

The Mitavite range of products marketed under the Vitamite brand name will be supplied to feed and supplement retailers throughout the UK by Battle, Hayward and Bower Ltd. from their Lincoln base.
Over the next 12 months the distinctive Mitavite “horse head” logo will be seen on rider’s clothing, saddle cloths and at sponsored events throughout Britain.
